A Message From Our President

Welcome to the Nu Gamma Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta! My name is Cori Clayton and I have the honor of serving as chapter president here at Nu Gamma! The women in our chapter are so excited to meet you and can’t wait to share with you the importance of our sweet sisterhood.  Alpha Gam has been one of the biggest blessings during my college experience and I can’t wait to share with you a glimpse of why this chapter is truly so special!

Moving away from home and starting a new chapter in your life can be very overwhelming. When I started my freshman year I was nervous about being away from home and finding where I belonged at East Carolina.  The day I joined Alpha Gamma Delta I instantly knew that this would be my home away from home. Through multiple leadership opportunities and the encouragement and support from my sisters, Alpha Gam has taught me confidence, strength, and leadership! These women truly have helped shape me into the best version of myself, and that is something I will forever be grateful for!

Words that come to my mind when thinking about the women I am surrounded by are genuine, loving, loyal, and impactful. Every woman here in Alpha Gamma Delta has their own unique qualities that play a part to make our sisterhood great! These women have not only helped our community, but have helped me become the woman I am today. The impact these women have made on one another is what makes our sisterhood so special and is something that will not only transpire for four years, but will continue to last a lifetime.

Alpha Gam has shown me that joining a sorority is about becoming a part of something that is bigger than yourself. It teaches you how to not only better yourself as an individual but how you can work to better others as well. I hope you cherish every moment you have here at East Carolina and seize every opportunity that comes your way! I hope you enjoy exploring our sisterhood here at 505 East 5th Street, and one day will be able to call it your home!

With love,

Cori Clayton
